How to Create a Short Link with Password and Expiry Date on Snaplink

At Snaplink, we believe shortening links should be simple, fast, and secure — without ads or unnecessary distractions. In this guide, we'll show you exactly how to create your own short link, add a password, set an expiry date, and manage your links from your dashboard.

Let’s get started!

Before you can create a short link, you need to log in.

You have two options:

  • Quickly log in with your Google account
  • Or register a free account first

You can generate a short link in two ways:

Option A: Directly from the homepage
You’ll find a box labeled "Create Your Short Link".
Paste your long URL inside and click Generate Link.

Option B: From your Dashboard
There’s a similar input box available at the top of your dashboard.

Once you click Generate Link, your short link will be instantly created and displayed below.

📌 Step 3: Add a Password or Expiry Date

After your link is generated, you'll see a couple of additional buttons next to it:

  • Set Password: Secure your link with a custom password
  • Set Expiry Date: Choose a specific date and time when your link will expire and become inactive

To view, edit, or disable your links, head over to the Dashboard:

  • See all your created links in one table
  • Click on any link to edit its settings (like updating the password or expiry date)
  • Use the Status button in each row to enable or disable a link at any time
